Description of the service GARRbox is a personal cloud storage service for file storage and sharing. It is an alternative to existing commercial services designed specifically for the Italian research and education community. It allows data synchronization between different devices, such as PCs, tablets and smartphones, and allows you to collaborate and share resources with other users and work groups.

Personal data processed For authenticated users
The following data is transmitted by the user's organization:

  • ePPN (O) to gain access to system,
  • mail (O) to receive notifications from the system,
  • givenName (O) to assign the appropriate name to the user logged into the system,
  • surname (O) to assign the appropriate surname to the user logged into the system
    • Purpose of the processing of personal data The personal data of authenticated users is used to determine the read and write permission of each page. For those with write permission, personal data is used to identify the user (know who made changes and to which pages). The email address is used to notify the user of file shares or other significant notifications. Finally, the organization & egrave; request to allow the assignment of the user in quota to the belonging body.
    Recipients to whom the data can be communicated The log data will not be released to third parties, except to comply with legal obligations. Authenticated users editing pages should be aware that their user ID may potentially be visible to other wiki users.
